নীয় traditionতিহ্য অনুসারে শ্রাবণ যে স্থানে মারা গিয়েছিলেন তার নাম দেওয়া হয়েছিল সরওয়ান (উত্তর প্রদেশের উন্নও জেলা)। দশরথ যে স্থানে তার তীর ছুঁড়েছিল, সে জায়গাটি সরোয়ারার নামে পরিচিত এবং শ্রাবণের বাবা-মা মারা যাওয়ার জায়গাটিকে সমাধ বলে। হ্রদের তীরে শ্রাবণের একটি পুরানো ও রুক্ষ স্মৃতিসৌধ এখন মুছে যাচ্ছে। কথিত আছে যে শ্রাবণ কুমারের একটি পাথরের মূর্তি রয়েছে এবং তিনি যেমন অনাহুত তৃষ্ণায় মারা গিয়েছিলেন, যদি পাথরের চিত্রের নাভিতে জল isেলে দেওয়া হয় তবে গর্তটি কখনই পূর্ণ হয় না। কর্তব্যপালক পুত্র হিসাবে শ্রদ্ধেয় শ্রাবণকে প্রার্থনা করার জন্য সার্বন ও পার্শ্ববর্তী স্থানের গ্রামবাসী প্রতি সোমবার ঘটনা
